Mediterránea receives the Actualidad Económica Award to the Best International Strategy
Last Thursday November 19th the magazine Actualidad Económica presented its Entrepreneurial Success Awards in Madrid, the ceremony was attended by the Minister of Economy, Employment and Finance of the Community of Madrid, Engracia Hidalgo.
The recognition for Best International Strategy went to Mediterránea, company owned by Portobello Capital dedicated to full service catering to businesses, schools, hospitals and nursing homes, in addition to cleaning activities and reception. Six years ago, the Madrid company opted for internationalization and landed in Chile, from where it began its expansion to Peru, Panama, Mexico, Bolivia and Colombia. This foreign market is where the 13% of its sales comes from, which rose to 114 million in 2014. The company has continued its globalization this year by opening facilities in Morocco.
